    mike poliza photographs oxpeckers in the okavango delta who clean the ears, noses and behinds of animals by feeding off the ticks and parasites that live inside. when reached for comment, one oxpecker explained, “i mean, it’s a dirty job and all, but someone’s gotta do it, right. you ever seen a giraffe try to scratch its ear? cause i have, and it’s hilarious. but also a little sad. so it’s a win-win here.”
